Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) ran a Korea Pavilion at the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Market, held alongside the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France from June 23 to 26, giving a dozen Korean studios a coordinated platform at the industry’s largest dedicated marketplace.

Twelve companies took part in the Korea Pavilion, including Acoms, Alimolly Studio, Climax Studio, Devsisters, Kidscastle, Ocon, Pixelplanet, Pixtrend, Studio Acon, Studio Animal, Studio Shelter and Studio T&T, spanning a mix of established animation houses and newer studios working across television, streaming and game-adjacent animation projects.

Over the course of the market, participating companies took part in exhibitions, business matchmaking sessions, investment-attraction meetings and conference programming, the standard toolkit KOCCA uses to help Korean content companies find international distribution partners, co-production deals and financing. The Annecy market has become an increasingly important stop for Korean animation studios seeking to expand beyond the domestic market, particularly as demand for Korean-made animated series and films has grown among international streamers in recent years.

KOCCA has also confirmed it is now recruiting participants for a Korea Pavilion and showcase at MIPCOM 2026, the major television and streaming content market held each October, signaling that Annecy is one stop in a wider annual calendar of international marketplace support the agency provides to help Korean animation compete for global attention and financing.
