Solar, Moonbyul, Wheein and Hwasa are, once again, MAMAMOO.
On June 4, 2026, the group released its special single “4WARD” across major music platforms, marking its first release as a complete foursome in roughly three years and eight months, according to SBS News. The title, combining the number “4” — representing the four members — with the word “forward,” signals a symbolic new chapter for a group that has spent recent years pursuing largely individual and subunit projects.
The single’s title track, “4 Flowers,” is a mid-tempo pop song built around textured guitar work and dense drum programming. Its lyrics use the metaphor of flowers that bloom and wither individually while remaining connected to a single root, framing the song as a meditation on relationships and values that endure even as time passes — a fitting theme for a group marking its long-awaited reunion.
The comeback isn’t limited to a single release. MAMAMOO kicked off a large-scale global tour alongside the single, opening “MAMAMOO 2026 WORLD TOUR [4WARD]” with three consecutive shows from June 19 to 21 at Olympic Hall inside Seoul’s Olympic Park, according to News1. The group plans to continue the tour through major cities across Asia and the Americas in the months following the Seoul run, giving international fans their first chance to see the full lineup perform together in years.
MAMAMOO debuted in 2014 and built a reputation as one of K-pop’s strongest vocal groups, known for blending R&B, jazz and pop influences with consistently praised live performances. In recent years, members pursued solo careers and smaller group activities — including Hwasa and Moonbyul’s individual releases — making this full reunion a notable moment for the group’s fandom, which has closely tracked whether and when all four members would record and perform together again.
For longtime fans, “4WARD” functions as both a musical statement and a reassurance: nearly four years and multiple solo detours later, the four members are still, as the song’s lyrics suggest, connected at the root.
