Na Young-seok’s long-running travel variety franchise “꽃보다 청춘” (Youth Over Flowers) returned to tvN as “꽃보다 청춘: 리미티드 에디션” (Youth Over Flowers: Limited Edition), airing a six-episode run from May 3 through June 7, 2026 — marking the flagship “Flower” series’ first new installment in eight years, featuring actors Jung Yu-mi, Park Seo-joon, and Choi Woo-shik.
The “꽃보다” (“Flower”) franchise, which originally launched with “꽃보다 할배” (Grandpas Over Flowers) before spinning off into “청춘” (Youth) and “누나” (Noona) variants, established itself over the past decade as one of Korean unscripted television’s most durable travel-format brands, sending groups of actors on international trips with minimal production intervention to capture unscripted, naturalistic interactions.
The eight-year gap since the franchise’s last new installment made this “Limited Edition” revival a notable programming event in its own right, with the specific cast pairing of Jung Yu-mi, Park Seo-joon, and Choi Woo-shik — all established film and drama actors rather than career variety-show personalities — continuing tvN’s broader 2026 pattern of building unscripted programming increasingly around dramatic-acting talent.
The six-episode format represents a more compact structure than some of the franchise’s earlier multi-month seasonal runs, suggesting a deliberate “limited edition” positioning meant to signal the show as a special, time-boxed revival event rather than an attempt to relaunch “Youth Over Flowers” as an ongoing annual franchise entry.
