Olive Young’s ‘K-Beauty Edit’ Is Arriving at 580 U.S. Sephora Stores — Here’s What’s Changing

January’s Announcement Just Became an August Shelf

If you caught the news back in January about Olive Young and Sephora teaming up, you’re probably curious what that partnership actually looks like once it hits the shelves. Starting August 20 U.S. local time, CJ Olive Young is rolling out “Olive Young K-Beauty Edit” across roughly 580 Sephora stores and Sephora’s U.S. online store. It’s the first concrete result the two companies have delivered since announcing their plans to work together.

This doesn’t mean 580 brand-new Olive Young stores are opening across the U.S. Instead, it’s a curated shelf set up inside existing Sephora locations, stocked with Korean beauty products Olive Young has hand-picked. Olive Young selects the brands and products, while Sephora provides its store network and online platform. For American shoppers, it means finding an Olive Young-style recommendation list inside the Sephora they already know.

Meet 19 Brands and About 150 Products

The initial lineup includes about 150 products from 19 brands. Confirmed names include Rejuran Cosmetics, Ma:nyo, Menokin, Make P:Rem, Banila Co, Bioheal Boh, Beplain, Abib, S.Nature, Torriden, Fation, and Whipped. The lineup mixes well-known names with relatively new ones on the same shelf. Olive Young plans to refresh the brand and product mix twice a year based on local response and trends.

The products center on basics like serums, creams, and sun care. Toner pads, cleansers, and sheet masks are also included, so you can work through a Korean-style skincare routine step by step. Alongside already-familiar picks like a Rejuran ampoule and a Torriden moisture serum, promising newer products like Beplain’s mung bean cleanser get featured too. Beauty device brand Thome is in the mix as well, so it’s not a shelf of skincare products alone.

Where Should You Start Looking?

With this many products, you don’t need to buy your way through every step at once. If your skin dries out easily, start by comparing serums and creams; if tightness after cleansing is your concern, look at the cleansers first. For sun care, check not just the SPF but also the texture and how easy it is to reapply. Toner pads aren’t a step you have to use every single day — pick them up if and when you need them.

As you browse ampoules and serums, you’ll probably notice some unfamiliar ingredient names. Some ingredients that come up often in skincare these days first became known through cosmetic procedures. But cosmetics and medical procedures work differently and are held to different approval standards, so a similar-sounding name doesn’t mean you should expect the same effect as an injectable treatment. If you have sensitive skin, check the full ingredient list and patch-test on a small area before applying anything to your whole face.

Pop-Up Trucks Are Coming to New York, Austin, and Miami

Starting August 20, pop-up trucks are also planned to show up outside major stores in New York’s Times Square, Austin, Texas, and Miami, Florida. If things go as planned, you’ll be able to try out select items through photo zones and sample giveaways before you even walk into the store. Sephora also plans to use the outdoor billboard at its Times Square flagship and digital content for U.S. members to spread the word about the new shelf.

You can shop at participating Sephora stores and online across the U.S. That said, the announcement materials didn’t disclose U.S. prices or store-by-store stock for each of the roughly 150 products. Before you head out, it’s worth checking Sephora’s online store for whether the brand you want is carried, its price, and stock at your nearest location. You’ll also want to check local announcements for the pop-up trucks’ exact operating hours.

A Two-Track Strategy Spreading Across the U.S.

Olive Young already opened standalone stores in Pasadena and Los Angeles, California, back in May and June. If the standalone stores are a space for deeply experiencing a wide range of products and routines, the Sephora shelf is a channel for reaching more American shoppers, faster. Using its own stores and a major local retail network together means popular Korean products can be tested in multiple U.S. cities at the same time.

What makes this shelf matter is that it moves past repeating January’s partnership news and into an actual retail rollout. What’s worth watching next is the store-by-store product mix and sellouts after August 20, and which brands rotate in and out twice a year. Olive Young plans to expand into Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Hong Kong within the year, and is also pursuing entry into Canada, Australia, the U.K., and the Middle East in 2027.
